Institute of Forensic Medicine strengthens support for justice with training for lawyers

Praia, May 6 (Inforpress) - The National Institute of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences (INMLCF) is training lawyers in the interpretation of reports through a course on medical-legal expertise, in the city of Praia, with the aim of improving the efficiency of legal proceedings.

The central aim of the training entitled "Medico-legal expertise: Contributions to the resolution of legal cases" is to strengthen lawyers' ability to interpret expert reports and promote greater efficiency in the processing of legal cases.

Speaking to the press, the president of the INMLCF, Ineida Cabral Sena, emphasised that this training is aimed above all at helping lawyers to read medical legal reports in a technical way, thus strengthening their performance in court.

"The forensic medical institute is a new service, recently created, under the supervision of the Ministry of Justice, but with a strong partnership with the Ministry of Education. It's a strategic union to support justice, especially with regard to the interpretation of our reports and the work we do," she explained.
