Praia, Jan 8 (Inforpress) – The Business Incubation Centre (BIC) has prepared and placed in the market for the last 16 months a group of 14 companies with a total turnover exceeds 36 million escudos and which generated 40 jobs.
The data were provided Tuesday by the incubator manager, Diogo Moeda, in a presentation session of the results, since it was passed to the leadership of the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce (CCS).
According to Diogo Moeda, during this period there was a “great momentum” in terms of incubation, with its own activities such as Bootcamp, Start Challenge, Sport Bootcamp, held on Sal Island, but also support for other activities such as startup weekend and global entrepreneurship week, among others.
“We welcomed the incubated and had 14 companies working here with us, and these companies as a whole had a total turnover of 36 million escudos, generated over 40 jobs and paid over 2 million escudos in taxes,” he said. In addition, he stated that there was work done on business capacity building, with actions covering not only incubated companies.
