Praia, Dec 23 (Inforpress) – The Guinean embassy in Cabo Verde has given this Sunday to the children of Guineans who live in the Alto da Glória neighborhood (Praia outskirts) a different Christmas where prevails the joy and promises of a better year.
In an event marked by music, snacks and a lot of conviviality, Ambassador M’bála Fernandes, speaking to Inforpress, considered Christmas as an “important” day, so the Guinean children deserved to live the “Christmas spirit”.
“The idea is to provide a unique community life and fill the eyes and hearts of children with dreams and promises of a better year. It is also a way of showing children who are not abandoned by their home country,” he said. With this moment, added M’bála Fernandes, we want to instill in the children that Guinea-Bissau has another view of family problems in Cabo Verde.
The ambassador, who said it was a first Christmas action that the embassy is undertaking, promised that for the year the mission will go to other neighborhoods to bring Christmas to the Guinean community.
