Governor of the Bank of Cabo Verde receives visit from Portuguese counterpart

Praia, Mar 31 (Inforpress) - The governor of the Bank of Cabo Verde (BCV), Óscar Santos, will be visited by his Portuguese counterpart, Mário Centeno, from 3 to 5 April to present financial education materials in Creole.

According to a note sent to Inforpress, these materials were developed in collaboration between the two central banks, with the support of the non-governmental organisation ‘Mundu Nôbu’, and aim to promote financial literacy among the Cape Verdean population.

According to the same source, the action aims not only to inform, but also to empower citizens, especially the most vulnerable, about the fundamental concepts of economics and financial management.

The presentation of the financial education materials in Creole will take place on the islands of Santiago, São Vicente and Santo Antão.
