Government wants to expand the Cidade Segura ‘Safe City’ project and boost technology to improve the effectiveness of public safety

Praia, July 14 (Inforpress) – The Government intends to expand the third phase of the "Safe City" project, move forward with new implementation stages and introduce new technological tools to strengthen the effectiveness of the public security system, the Minister of Internal Administration announced today.

Carlos Sena Teixeira made these statements to the press during a visit this Monday to the central offices and services of the National Police in Praia, aimed at learning about the functioning of these structures.

The minister assured that the executive branch will continue with the project, considering it "a state project".

As he explained, the aim is to expand the current implementation phase, move on to the next stages and strengthen the system’s technological capabilities, in order to improve its effectiveness in supporting the security forces and protecting citizens.
