Praia, Jun 6 (Inforpress) – The Secretary of State for Education highlighted Wednesday the “enormous work done” by SOS Villages for the benefit of children, adolescents and young people in the country, through “an important work for social inclusion”.
Amadeu Cruz made this acknowledgment during the official formalization of the “WebLab” to Aldeias SOS de São Domingos, located in Ribeirão Chiqueiro, where he expressed his satisfaction with the work carried out towards the less favored and facing social and economic vulnerabilities.
He praised the way this social institution has been working, focused on allowing interaction and conviviality among young people from different backgrounds, in the construction of a model of social, cultural and all-round living, within the framework of its national plan for the inclusion of all, without leaving anyone behind.
“The SOS villages have a background intervention in Assomada, in São Vicente and here in São Domingos, but they have a national reach. It reaches all the municipalities of Cabo Verde and there are beneficiary children from all places and from all origins”, he explained.
