Government ‘identifies areas for spending cuts’ and considers ending ground-breaking ceremonies – Prime Minister

Praia, 3 July (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister stated today in Praia that the Government is identifying inefficiencies in the public administration and gave assurances that any cuts would be announced at the time of their implementation.

Francisco Carvalho made these statements to the press after the formal delivery of the Government Program and the Motion of Confidence to the President of the National Assembly, Janira Hopffer Almada, a document that establishes the main lines of political action of the Executive for the current legislature.

The Government Programme will be distributed to the deputies for analysis, followed by its consideration in plenary session on July 17th, during which the Motion of Confidence, which accompanies the document, will be debated and voted on.

Asked about the first measures to be implemented, Francisco Carvalho assured that the Government already has actions identified and defended a new way of governing based on the execution of decisions.
