Government highlights the strengthening of Inforpress's autonomy and the achievement of targets exceeding expectations

Praia, 17 June (Inforpress) – The Deputy Secretary of State to the Prime Minister for the Media, Lourenço Lopes, stated today in Praia that Inforpress has exceeded the targets set for the 2021–2026 term.

Lourenço Lopes cited the strengthening of institutional autonomy, the expansion of national coverage, and the qualification of the Agency's professionals to justify his statement.

Lourenço Lopes' statements were made to the press during a visit to the Cape Verdean News Agency (Inforpress) and the Cape Verdean Radio and Television (RTC), aimed at revisiting the journey undertaken over the past five years and engaging in dialogue with officials and professionals from the two public media outlets.

The official said he was stepping down from his post with a sense of ‘gratitude and confidence’, acknowledging the work carried out jointly by the Government, the administrations, and the staff at Inforpress and RTC.
