Government and MpD consider that country is undergoing “recognized reforms” – PAICV contests and UCID questions

Praia, Mar 28 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister said that Cabo Verde is undergoing reforms recognized by international financial institutions and partners with an impact on economic growth, increased income through employment, social inclusion and increased wages Pubic Administration.

At the close of monthly debate in the National Assembly on the Sustainable Development Strategy, Ulisses Correia e Silva stressed that this reform is ratified by the World Bank, IMF and European Union, saying that it has allowed the creation of “9289 jobs in 2016 and 2017 against the 15914 net jobs created between 2011 and 2016”.

By 2021, the government has a public investment program worth 93.4 million escudos and promises to channel 11.5 million escudos to airports, 7.2 million in ports, 5.7 million in roads, 2.3 million in housing, 31.5 million in environment, water and sanitation, 10.6 million in energy, 8.3 million in technology, information and communication, 6.9 million in urban redevelopment, 4.9 million in education and 8.9 billion escudos in health.

It also highlighted the improvement in security as a result of policy changes, attitudes and reforms, as well as investments in these sectors, as part of a “clear agenda reflected in the Strategic Development Plan” to growth and diversification of the economy.
