Football: National under-17 team beats Angola in friendly match for the 12th CPLP Games

Praia, July 17 (Inforpress) – The national under-17 football team beat its Angolan counterpart 2-1 today in a friendly match played in Luanda, in preparation for the 12th CPLP Sports Games, taking place in East Timor.

The goals for the Cape Verdean team were scored by Pedro António Reis and Marcos Ramos, in a match that served as preparation during the national delegation's stopover in Angola.

The Cape Verdean delegation, which was traveling to East Timor via Bali (Indonesia) to participate in the CPLP Games, was forced to return to Luanda due to not being authorized to land at the destination airport.

According to the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF), the Cape Verdean delegation will travel to Indonesia in the next few hours, where it will make another stop before arriving in Timor-Leste, the host country of the CPLP 2025 Games.
