Ribeira Brava, Jul 3 (Inforpress) – Traders from São Nicolau are looking forward to the Independence Cup, also known as the inter-island tournament, and they say they believe they can make a “good money” with sales.
Manuel Oliveira, manager of the Shell space at Tarrafal, said he hoped that the sporting movement that is already beginning in the island will bring “something different” from what has been happening all over the island when it the subject is the sale of goods.
Likewise, he said he hoped that the movement of people would bring good results not only to the store, but also to the fuel supply. This is so true that he bet on hiring more employees to help during the sporting event.
In turn, Hirondina Ramos, owner of a grocery store, also in Tarrafal de São Nicolau, showed herself expectant with the Independence Cup on the island. As she said, “things have been weak,” and so an event of this magnitude is always seen as a “good opportunity” to make “money.”
