Praia, May 8 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean Football Federation has postponed the Cabo Verde Cup semi-final game between Académica da Praia and Santo Crucifixo (North Santo Antão), which was scheduled for Wednesday at the Várzea Stadium.
This postponement is due to the fact that the Académica da Praia Association is still retained in Fogo Island, where it won on Sunday the Académica do Fogo by 2-1, in game of the fifth and penultimate day of the National Championship 2018/19.
The FCF promises to announce in the next hours a new date for the accomplishment of this game whose winner, by the way two teams that are simultaneously in the Cabo Verde Cup and in the National Championship, will play against Palmeiras of Sal, June 8, in the final of the Cabo Verde Cup, also known as “Caixa Cup”, at the National Stadium.
This postponement caused to the Santo Crucifixo team, which was already in the City of Praia, returning to the São Nicolau Island, where they played Sunday for the National Championship, returned to the Santo Antão Island to prepare to the decisive game on Friday, in the reception of Sporting da Brava.
