Fogo: São Filipe Hosts 12th Edition of “Morna Fest – Music, rainha di nôs terra (Queen of Our Land”)

São Filipe, Dec 04 (Inforpress) – The Cruz dos Passos promenade in São Filipe will host the 12th edition of “Morna Fest – música rainha di nôs terra” this Saturday, 6 December.

This year’s lineup features Cape Verdean artists such as Natalino Gomes, Bertania Almeida, Solange Cesarovna, Calu Bana, Toi Vieira, Albertino Évora, Arlindo Rodrigues and Mário Marta.

The event is produced by Boa Música in partnership with the São Filipe Municipal Council, which invites residents and visitors to celebrate “morna, the true queen of our land.”

It is the fourth consecutive year that the municipality joins the festival, considered one of the most important initiatives dedicated to preserving and promoting morna, an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
