Fogo: Oenology and viticulture course starts next week at Monte Barro winery

São Filipe, Jan 15 (Inforpress) – The first oenology and viticulture course, the first to be held in Cabo Verde, will start next Tuesday, January 21, at the Monte Barro winery facilities in Sao Filipe.

This training will be given by the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) through the Center for Employment and Vocational Training for the islands of Fogo and Brava in partnership with ASDE and with technical support from the Higher Institute of Oenology and Viticulture of Alba, Italy.

The course’s sponsor is the Padre Ottavio Fasano Foundation, a non-profit Cabo Verdean institution committed to working for a future of human and spiritual justice for those most in need in Cabo Verde, Sao Tome and Principe and Guinea-Bissau, aiming at development in the different domains.

The development of any sector is based on education and training and aware of this fact and meeting the objectives for it was created, ASDE, in partnership with the Government of Cabo Verde, through the IEFP and the Social Sustainability Fund for Tourism (FSST), with the technical support from the Higher Institute of Oenology and Viticulture of Alba, Italy, implement this training.
