Fogo: Court of Mosteiros send one of the young men to prison and the other one awaits trial under TIR

São Filipe, Jul 30 (Inforpress) – The court of Mosteiros imposed restrictive measures as pre-trial detention to one of the two youths involved in the fight that took the life of a 26-year-old boy on Saturday night in Ribeira Ilhéu.

The second young man detained by the National Police is awaiting the proceeding under Statement of Identity and Residence (TIR) ​​for lack of evidence.

Carlos Domingos Andrade Gomes, alleged responsible for the stabbing that caused the death, is the victim’s cousin, while Manuel Socorro Gomes de Pina, who was under TIR, is the uncle of the young man who lost his life.

The incident, which resulted in the death of a young man from Ribeira do Ilhéu, in the northern part of the municipality of Mosteiros, arose following a fight and a misunderstanding during a card game on Saturday night, around 10:00pm.
