São Filipe, Feb 7 (Inforpress) – The Água Para Viver Association, a non-governmental organization created in the Netherlands in the late 1970s, is focusing on investment in the Education sector, after decades of investing in the construction of infrastructure.
The president of this NGO, Agnelo Spínola, told Inforpress that between 2018 and 2022 the association is betting more on education and training and will stand back from construction, this after having invested in the construction of various infrastructures such as reservoirs to capture rainwater, classrooms and training center, such as the one in Ponta Verde that was transferred to the State of Cabo Verde in January 2019.
At this moment, the association provides scholarships to 31 young people, including students in secondary education (five), vocational training (13) and university students (13), and this Friday, accompanied by the Mayor of São Filipe and some members and directors of the association, visit the infrastructure that the City Hall has under construction in the Beltchés neighborhood.
It includes a daycare center for further analysis of the possibility of some contribution to the daycare center.
