Praia, Feb 18 (Inforpress) – The Indicative Cooperation Program (PIC) between Cabo Verde and Luxembourg for the period 2021 – 2024 will go from the current 45 million to about 60 million euros, resulting an increase of more than 30 percent.
The program, which should be signed between June and July this year, in Luxembourg, was one of the subjects discussed at the working meeting between the Cabo Verdean and Luxembourg delegation, held today in Praia, following the visit of three Luxembourg ministers to the archipelago.
According to the spokesman for the Cabo Verdean delegation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities, Luís Filipe Tavares, the meeting served to review the bilateral relations between the two countries and take a look on the future and exchange ideas on the next PIC.
“As you know, we are currently executing the PIC, which will run until the end of this year in 2020 for 45 million euros. We discussed and took stock of the sectors, namely water, sanitation, employability, the fight against poverty and all the major projects that we have within the scope of cooperation with Luxembourg and we also started to envision the new PIC”, he said.
