EU has bet on education and culture as engines of sustainable and inclusive development – Ambassador

Praia, Jan 28 (Inforpress) – The European Union’s ambassador to Cabo Verde, Sofia Moreira de Sousa, said today that the organization has bet on education and culture as engines of sustainable and inclusive development.

The statement was made at the opening of the Specialized Seminar on Intertextual Literary Essay, based on works for children and youth, which took place at the Faculty of Education and Sports (FaED), in Praia, within the scope of PROCULTURA, which is an Action of PALOP Multiannual Indicative Program –  East Timor and the Union.

According to the diplomat, this “is undoubtedly” a guiding line for the activities of the European Union (EU) worldwide, and in Cabo Verde, as she informed, it has happened with the development of projects aimed at promoting and protection of culture.

“We have had several projects in the past and there are others going on, in addition to working on exchanging mobility and experiences in the field of education, with the “Eramos Mais” project and the construction of a high school in Sal Island”, she pointed out.
