ERIS orders to withdraw from the cosmetic market for eyelashes “Neon Eye Mascara”

Praia, May 2 (Inforpress) – The Independent Health Regulatory Authority (ERIS) has ordered the withdrawal of the market of the “Neon Eye Mascara” mask by the PaintGlow brand because of dyes unauthorized.

The measure comes after European authorities have detected the presence of unauthorized dyes (Solvent Yellow 172, CI 45161, CI 45174, CI 74260), as well as a content higher than the permitted concentration of the Butylparaben preservative in the cosmetic eyelash product.

In a statement published on the website of the Order of Pharmacists of Cabo Verde, ERIS ordered the “immediate suspension” of the marketing and “withdrawal of the market of all units” of the aforementioned cosmetic product.

The Independent Health Regulatory Authority appeals to entities that have units of this product not to sell them and to return them and also asks consumers to have this product not to use it.
