Praia, Jun 7 (Inforpress) – The National Emergency Fund, created by the Government of Cabo Verde, to deal with natural disasters will be endowed with a capital of 20 million dollars that will be available for answers if necessary.
The announcement was made Thursday by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Olavo Correia at the signing ceremony of an agreement with the World Bank that, through the loan, has already made available 10 million dollars to capitalize this sovereign fund.
Olavo Correia said that the Government is already working to mobilize the other party through the reformatting of the trust fund, through which provides for the collection of 10 million euros.
“Let’s create a sovereign emergency fund. More than 20 million dollars will be available, captive for the state to use if it is needed. The state will have the tools to appeal to the fund and be able to intervene immediately”, he said.
