Drug Trafficking: Praia court decrees pre-trial detention for five Brazilian citizens

Praia, Aug 7 (Inforpress) – The Praia court ordered a pre-trial detention for the five Brazilian citizens arrested Saturday, 3rd, in Port of Praia, at Perpétuo Socorro de Abaete II vessel ”, with 2.256.2 kilos of cocaine on board.

According to court information, they were presented Monday, 5th, to the court for the first interrogation that, according to the same sources, took until dusk, and returned today to hear the order of the judge.

Named “Constancy Operation”, this operation was developed following operational information exchanges with the Maritime Analysis and Operations Center (Narcotics), MAOC-N, based in Lisbon.

The Judiciary Police also counted on the cooperation of the Federal Police of Brazil, and, in the search, unloading, transportation, packaging and storage of the seized product, with the support from the Cabo Verdean National Police.
