Praia, Sep 26 (Inforpress) – Luxembourg-based Cabo Verdean artist Nélson Neves will exhibit about 50 paintings depicting the lives of women and men in Cabo Verde at the Chambre des Salariés in Luxembourg from October 1 to 31.
Speaking to Inforpress, this artist, who is a native Santo Antão and has lived in Luxembourg for more than 30 years, said he will only present about 50 works in this exhibition as he is preparing a “big exhibition” in 2020.
“It will be ‘Rétrospective Nelson Neves 2000 – 2020’ from February 5 until March 1, 2020 at the d’Arte H2O gallery in the Ville de Differdange,” he said.
According to him, everything inspires his art, from the African Continent in general and in particular the Cabo Verde Islands, the life of women and men in Cabo Verde, the ocean, the feelings, the nature, the environment and the culture. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a country has welcomed him since he was seven years old, has also been an influence on his paintings.
