Praia, Oct 22 (Inforpress) – National Security Director Armindo Miranda said Monday night that the government members were “in shock” with the death of the deputy prime minister and Regional Integration, Julio Herbert.
Speaking to journalists, following the forensic expertise and the transfer of Júlio Herbert’s body to the morgue, which took place around 9:30 pm on Monday, Armindo Miranda said that all the entities “did and are doing” their work, in order to determine what was the origin of this event.
“Everything that can be said will be done in a communication this Tuesday. At this moment, all the staff are in shock and cannot speak,” said the official, confirming that the minister was found in his office and no longer alive.
Figures such as Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva, President of the National Assembly, Jorge Santos, and Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Gilberto Silva, were at the Government Palace at a time when Julio Herbert’s body was still at the place.
