Praia, Nov 26 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde Interilhas (CV Interilhas) made over 1200 trips during the three months (August to November), carried 146.000 passengers, six thousand tons of general cargo and about 11 thousand vehicles.
According to a press release that Inforpress had access to today, this maritime passenger, vehicle and cargo concessionaire on the connections between the islands of Cabo Verde completed, on the 16th, three months of activities.
Over these months several measures were introduced to respond positively to the needs of the Cabo Verde Islands population and economy and to improve the operational efficiency of their services.
According to the same source, these numbers, besides being “encouraging”, reveal the “effectiveness of this inter-island transport solution” and the “performance” of CV Interilhas, since in such a short time more than 20 thousand passengers, 25 per cent (%) compared to the same period of the previous year.
“The regularity and frequency of the new connections, provided by the company since the beginning of its activity, represent an increase of 6.600 passengers transported to São Nicolau, Sal, Boa Vista and Maio, 70% above the same period of the previous year,” according to the press release. Boa Vista line transported around 3.000 passengers in just three months, more than in 2018.
