Praia, Jan 17 (Inforpress) – The Secretary of State for Youth, Carlos Monteiro, attends, on Thursday, the closing ceremony of the “CPLP Year for Youth”, in Portugal, giving a message about the contribution and the empowerment of young people in CPLP.
According to a press release to which Inforpress had access, the Secretary of State for Youth representing the Government, like other entities will be attending the meeting, is invited to give a message at the end of the event.
“Carlos Monteiro will share in his speech words of encouragement addressed to the entities responsible for the youth sector and to the youth of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) about the empowerment of young people for their contribution to what is the present and the future of CPLP” reads the note.
“2019 – CPLP Year for Youth” is an event promoted by the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) in partnership with the City Hall of Vila Nova de Gaia and the Padre António Vieira Institute (IPAV) and held in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia.
The “CPLP Year for Youth” focused on strengthening the effective participation of young people in the Community in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of CPLP development policies, notably within the framework of the successful achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
