Covid-19: Superior Council of Chambers of Commerce adopts measures to support the economy in the face of the pandemic

Praia, Mar 24 (Inforpress) – The Superior Council of the Cabo Verde Chambers of Commerce (CSCC) decided to adopt measures to support the economy, aiming to analyze the situation from a private point of view, embracing precautions at an economic and financial level, in the face of the pandemic.

In a press release sent to Inforpress, the CSCC suggested that the Government adopt measures to support the economy, as far as possible, creating resilience solutions for companies, in order to survive the shock waves of the global and internal crisis, already considered a reality and prepare for the post-pandemic.

At its last meeting, it was found necessary to find solutions at an economic and financial level, such as opening of emergency credit lines to deal with the companies’ cash flow, conditions to cushion fixed costs during the “lay-off” period.

Flexibility in terms of compliance with obligations to the State, support for family income during the period they are away from the workplace, ways to mitigate the impact on financial and banking commitments are among the concerns of the CSCC.
