Covid-19 / Brava: Authorities raise awareness throughout public transport drivers on the new measures issued by DGTR

Nova Sintra, Mar 25 (Inforpress) – Brava police officers took to the streets today to raise awareness throughout public transport drivers on the new measures issued by the Directorate-General for Road Transport (DGTR).

This information was forwarded to Inforpress by the commander of the police station, Higor Almeida, recalling that awareness and inspection actions are also taking place for civil society and in commercial establishments, bars and restaurants, to check the compliance with the measures issued by the Government.

According to the DGTR order, these measures “adopted on an exceptional basis” are to “control” the epidemiological situation, in order to “prevent and contain” possible lines of contagion through the new coronavirus (Covid-19).

These measures were implemented as a way of “ensuring continuity and not the suspension” of the transport service, where the maximum number of passengers transported is limited to 50% of the vehicle’s capacity, provision of services at all bus stops and terminals, enhanced hygiene and daily disinfection of the vehicles, as well as accessories used by the driver and passengers.
