Covid-19: AMES & CD proposes to the Government some measures to “stagnate” the business sector

Praia, Mar 24 (Inforpress) – The Women Entrepreneurs Association of Cabo Verde & Diaspora (AMES & CD) proposed to the Government a set of measures to “stagnate” the business sector and to guarantee the jobs of Cabo Verdean families.

In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, and to the Minister of Finance, Olavo Correia, on the 18th of this month, and which Inforpress had access to today, AME & CD started by welcoming the measures and contingency policies adopted by the Government, given the spread of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) in the world.

Aware of the “harmful” consequences that this has on the country’s economy, AMES, after listening to the concerns of its associates, regarding contingency measures, proposes to the Government some measures associated with labour commitment.

In the first point, if the simplified lay-off regime be applied, AMES presents the Government with two scenarios.
