Praia, Mar 16 (Inforpress) – Seventh-day Adventist Churches in Cabo Verde (IASD-CV) are “united in prayer” for the Chinese people and all countries with confirmed cases and consequently for the eradication of Covid-19.
This information was expressed by the pastor of the Youth Ministry, Edson Monteiro, who led a delegation from the IASD-CV, who went to the Chinese Embassy in Cabo Verde to convey a message of “condolences and solidarity” to diplomat Du Xiaocong, in the face of “difficult time” his country is going through due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The visit of this delegation, according to a statement from this religious organization, falls within the scope of World Adventist Youth Week, which this year has its strong point on March 21 and runs under the theme “I Care”, focused in caring for the homeless, orphans, widows and foreigners, especially those most in need ”.
Taking advantage of this event, the delegation, which included the representative of the Adventist League of Social Solidarity, Nilda Fernandes, the director and deputy director of the Youth Ministry of the IASD in Palmarejo, Lindzai Ribeiro and Carlos Fonseca, respectively, wanted to take a “fraternal hug” , showing that “the pain of the Chinese people is also ours”.
