Praia, Nov 7 (Inforpress) – The Consumer Confidence Index for the third quarter reversed the upward trend of recent quarters, revealing the slowdown in Cabo Verdean confidence, the National Statistics Institute (INE) said today.
According to the Consumer Survey released by INE, the consumer confidence indicator is above the series average and evolved positively compared to the same period of 2018.
Data indicate that the economic situation of the surveyed households as well as the economic situation of the country evolved positively compared to the same quarter of the year, while prices of goods and services and unemployment decreased compared to the same period of the year 2018.
Regarding savings, the document indicates that the majority (75.4%) of respondents in the third quarter of 2019 considered that, still, the current economic situation of the country does not save money.
