CERMI trains teachers in solar photovoltaic technology

Praia, Dec 17 (Inforpress) – Teachers from the country’s technical schools and high schools are gathered in Praia to participate in a training of trainers on solar photovoltaic technology, promoted by the Center for Renewable Energy and Industrial Maintenance (CERMI).

Speaking to Inforpress, CERMI chairman Luís Teixeira explained on Monday that the training is part of an agreement between the Center for Renewable Energy and Industrial Maintenance and the Ministry of Education, which aims at the provision of energy efficiency and renewable energy services by this center to schools and buildings of that government structure throughout the country.

With this agreement, CERMI should guarantee to the ME the provision of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy services in public buildings and schools in Cabo Verde, through the “Sustainable Schools” program, which will be implemented very soon.

The official said that the agreement also foresees the revision of the textbooks, namely the didactic and laboratory part, hence the need to prepare the teachers.
