Cabo Verde’s ISSO President joins delegation of Macaronesia Engineering Association received by MEPs

Praia, Nov 13 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verde Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (ISSO) is part of a delegation from the Macaronesian Engineering Association (AEM) to be welcomed this Wednesday by MEPs from the outermost regions that make up the organization.

Speaking to Inforpress, João de Carvalho explained that the purpose of the two-day visit is to introduce the organization of which he is a founding member to the MEPs of the regions involved, namely Portugal and Spain.

The meeting also aims, according to AEM President José Costa Gil, to demonstrate the association’s availability in the application, coordination and presentation of engineering solutions in its sector, revealing its competence and experience in the public service in view of the development of Macaronesia.

Cabo Verde, although not from the European Union, is part of the Macaronesia region, which is made up of other Middle Atlantic archipelagos such as the Azores, Canary Islands and Madeira.
