Praia, Jun 6 (Inforpress) -The Cabo Verdean Court of Accounts signed a cooperation and technical assistance agreement this Wednesday in Praia, with its counterpart from Guinea-Bissau, an agreement of cooperation and technical assistance for interchange, exchange of experiences, with a view to strengthening the two institutions.
The agreement was signed this afternoon in the City of Praia by the president of the Cabo Verde Court of Accounts (TCCV) João da Cruz Silva and his Guinean counterpart, Dionísio Cabi, and aims to promote exchange, study visits, towards to strengthen the organization and operation of the two entities.
At the occasion, the TCCV president considered that this agreement will improve the quality of control by improving technical methods of auditing, exchanging information and documentation, exchanging experience on different types of control exercised by the two institutions, thus allowing the transfer of mutual knowledge.
“This agreement assumes a special importance and dignity, because it will allow countries, where resources do not abound, to seek common interest, to use it in a more sustainable way”, said João da Cruz Silva, who said that this act represents a new chapter in the history of the courts of accounts of the two countries, thus enabling Cabo Verdean experiences to serve a common project of exercising the financial control of compliance and management for the benefit of the two peoples.
