‘Cabo Verde should publicise its strengths more and invest in content tourism’ - Blue Economy expert

Mindelo, Apr 30 (Inforpress) - Blue Economy expert Gunter Pauli said that Cabo Verde should turn sea research into opportunities and publicise its strengths more because there are ‘secrets of the country’ that can boost tourism ‘with content’.

The expert was speaking today in Mindelo after being received by the Minister of the Sea, Jorge Santos, who took the opportunity to talk to the economist about the country's strategy in the area of the Blue Economy and about projects in the same sector.

"Cabo Verde has many opportunities, but we have to convert these opportunities, which are dreams, into reality. The country already has a blue economy strategy, but the strategy has to be translated into concrete projects, into a portfolio of opportunities that we can implement," advised Gunter Pauli.

For the Belgian economist, the implementation of this strategy needs a client, who pays, because it's not just the government that has to pay for everything.
