Praia, May 22 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister today assumed, in Praia, the Government's commitment to zero tolerance for crimes of sexual violence against children and adolescents, with the mobilization of public institutions, civil society organizations and international partners.

The statement by Ulisses Correia e Silva was made at the Government Palace at the opening of the ‘III high-level dialogue on sexual violence against children and adolescents’, which was attended by various authorities linked to children and adolescents.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the country already has essential instruments, such as the National Action Plan and the National Strategy for the Prevention of Sexual Violence, but highlighted the challenges posed by the rapid evolution of the use of social networks and the impact of digital.

‘We need to be aware of the invisible dangers of the virtual world, where many abuses begin with words,’ he said.
