Praia, Sep 24 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde is nominated for the Healthy Cities Award and the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Education Award, said Minister of State Fernando Elísio Freire.
According to the ruler, through the resources provided by the Tourism and Environment Fund, the Government is making investments in urban requalification, environmental requalification and the waterfront, and has given the country and the municipalities the dimension of healthy cities.
The official explained that the nomination for the Healthy Cities Award represents recognition of the work we have been doing for healthy wellbeing so that no one is left behind.
The nomination for the Sustainable Education Award, according to the same source, recognizes the transformations in the education sector and the commitment to inclusive and quality education for all.
The winners will be announced this week on the sidelines of the 74th United Nations General Assembly.
