Cabo Verde attends the 51st Funchal Book Fair

Praia, Mar 24 (Inforpress) - Cabo Verde will be represented at the 51st Funchal Book Fair in Madeira, Portugal, which this year will take place from 28 March to 06 April, with the participation of national publishers and the National Library.

The participation of the country is being coordinated by the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries, through the Cabo Verde National Library Institute, which is finalising preparations to ensure a ‘robust’ presence.

The announcement was made today at a press conference by the president of the National Library of Cape Verde (BNCV), Matilde Santos, who emphasised that this was a unique opportunity to publicise the book and promote Cape Verdean literary production to an international audience.

Cabo Verde will have its own stand, where the National Library, publishers, booksellers and specialised institutions will be represented.
