Praia, Jul 18 (Inforpress) – The Deputy Minister and Minister of Finance said on Wednesday that Cabo Verde “already has money that is not lacking”, and he urged Cabo Verdeans, especially young entrepreneurs, to be competent to compete on a global scale.

Olavo Correia, who spoke to the press this afternoon at the “Master Class” conference on access to funding promoted by the Cabo Verdean Young Entrepreneurs Association (AJEC), justified his idea with the provisioning of 10 million euros from the Partial Guarantee Fund, € 90 million from the Sovereign Fund for the Promotion of Private Investment, € 470 million from the Lusophone Compact.

To these figures, he also added around € 500 million from Flexibanc, noting that “all in all is money that never ends”, but he warned of the creation of “bankable projects, adequate managers to manage projects and create values and business ideas that can create values for all.”

“We have money. Money is not lacking today,” said the Minister of Finance, for whom it is necessary for the country to have people prepared, well qualified and trained, so that Cabo Verde can become an extraordinary country, with potentialities in sectors such as tourism, fisheries, technologies, financial, industry, trade, at a time when “everyone wants to invest” in the archipelago.
