Praia, Dec 3 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verde Stock Exchange (BVC), Manuel Lima, said that it is worth investing in Cabo Verde, however he drew attention to aspects that should be improved in this regard.
Manuel Lima was speaking to Inforpress Monday on the sidelines of a government-sponsored workshop in Praia to train participants with new Development Finance (FFD) instruments and mechanisms.
“It’s worth it,” answered the president of the BVC, when asked if it pays to invest in Cabo Verde.
Manuel Lima also stated that during the workshop, several cases were cited from several other countries with similar realities, closer to Cabo Verde, that obtained funding.
He is of the opinion that there are windows and opportunities that, if well worked with strategy, can also access other sources of funding.
Basically, he said, there is a whole set of financial instruments that have “clearly” demonstrated that there are conditions to move forward. The issue, he argued, is the “next step”, ie what can be done to actually get this funding.
