Brava: Young Cabo Verdean stands out in Chinese universities and wins honorary titles and merit scholarships

Nova Sintra, Dec 27 (Inforpress) – António Marçal is a 26-year-old young man from Santana who has traveled to China since September 2012 to study and where he has stood out with merit scholarships and honorary titles.

António Marçal told Inforpress that in September 2012 he was one of the Cabo Verdean students awarded a Chinese government scholarship through the Directorate General of Higher Education of Cabo Verde, and the first year was devoted only to learning the Chinese language.

According to him, he studied throughout the year and tried to learn as much of the language as it was crucial for his academic development and integration into China.

He then passed the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 5 test in just nine months and received the Full Attendance Award.

He then went to another city where he completed his four-year undergraduate degree in Mechanical Promotion and Automation and, during his undergraduate studies, counted on the support of his colleagues and teachers for good results.
