Nova Sintra, Jan 29 (Inforpress) – The Mayor of Brava, Francisco Tavares, said Tuesday that the Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Gilberto Silva, brought a “reinforcement” of certainty to the water desalination project in the island.
Francisco Tavares spoke to the press, at the end of the visits and meetings he held with the government official, who took in the delegation the person in charge for the POSER program who also explained the resources available to the island, in case he is able to present projects within the objectives set for POSER.
In addition to the presentation of projects, the mayor announced that there are programs with guaranteed funding, but in a first edition of the tender there were no bids.
The City Hall is “in charge to convince” local contractors to bid and carry out this water mobilization work for agriculture, which, according to the mayor, will bring “countless benefits” to Palhal and Lomba Tantum.
He added that the City Hall had already made an investment in the framework of the Platform 20/30 program, but underlined that with the resources provided by the program, it was not possible to complete the building.
