Brava: Cabo Verdean community in the USA organizes 1st edition of the “Nha téra, nha kretchêu” festival

Nova Sintra, Aug 28  (Inforpress) – The emigrated Cabo Verdean community in the United States of America (USA) will hold the first edition of the “Nha téra, nha kretchêu” festival in Pawtucket on September 15th.

This information was forwarded to Inforpress by social and cultural activist Melany Vieira, who explained that the event came out after “some finding” regarding activities that the Cabo Verdean community has been carrying out and where the culture has suffered “some negligence”.

Given this situation, the social and cultural activist says she believes this is a “good time” to create an event that pays special attention to Cabo Verdean culture “in a genuine way”.

In this activity, she stressed that a variety of events will be held, including the dissemination of the most historic part of the country, starting with the time of discovery until independence and the most modern days, which will be made by technicians from the Cabo Verdean museum.
