Sal Rei, Mar 24 (Inforpress) - The government has plans to strengthen the working conditions and infrastructure of Rádio Televisão Cabo-verdiana (RTC) and Agência Cabo-verdiana de Notícias (Inforpress) (Cabo Verdean News Agency) on the island of Boa Vista, said the secretary of state assistant to the prime minister.
During a visit to the island of Boa Vista, Lourenço Lopes, who is responsible for Social Communication, held a meeting with professionals of the island's public media, in which he recognised the investments that the government has made in this area at national level, but highlighted the need for specific improvements on the island.
‘I'll give you examples like the recent Inforpress offices in Ribeira Brava, in Ribeira Grande de Santo Antão, in Santa Catarina de Santiago, or also the huge investments that the RTC board has made (...) But here in Boa Vista we must recognise that we need to strengthen certain conditions,’ he said.
Among the priorities, he listed, are the creation of a suitable workspace for RTC and Infopress professionals and the provision of a vehicle to expand coverage of events on the island, especially in the villages of the North Zone.
