Boa Vista: Delivery of kits to nurseries and kindergartens marks new phase of policies for access to childcare – minister

Sal Rei, Mar 26 (Inforpress) - Minister Fernando Elísio Freire said today that the delivery of teaching material kits to the Dora kindergarten in Sal Rei, Boa Vista, marks a new phase in the government's childcare access policies.

The statement was made by the Minister of State for the Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire, who is in Boa Vista as part of the nationwide reinforcement of nurseries and kindergartens and the strategy to eradicate extreme poverty.

“This is a phase in which we will expand and broaden children’s access to daycare. For this reason, we have an additional fund of around four million dollars [around 400 thousand contos], which we will invest heavily in four main places where we feel there is a lack of this type of infrastructure: Boa Vista, Sal, São Vicente and Santiago Island”, he stated.

Specifically, in Boa Vista, the minister said that they will be rehabilitating three kindergartens, in Estância de Baixo and Sal Rei, and will also be creating one from scratch in the Dubai area.
