Boa Vista celebrates literature week and highlights work on sexual violence

Sal Rei, Apr 24 (Inforpress) – TheCity Council of Boa Vista is holding a literature week with a variety of activities and one of the highlights was the launch of the second edition of the book "Filhas da Violência", by writer Miriam Medina.

The initiative aims to encourage the habit of reading, value literary production and promote debate on relevant social issues in the Boa Vista community.

The coordinator of the Municipal Library, Ronilda Oliveira, in an interview with the press, highlighted the city hall's ongoing commitment to dedicating the month of April to the celebration of books, for two years.

Ronilda Oliveira highlighted the diversity of activities, from stories for children in different locations, with the aim of encouraging access to books and also developing an aptitude and taste for reading, and now the work of Miriam Medina, aimed at a more adult audience.
