Boa Vista: Book on “Adão de Jovita” by Eutrópio Lima da Cruz launched in Sal Rei

Sal Rei, Dec 15 (Inforpress) – The City Council of Boa Vista is promoting this Tuesday, the 16th, the launch of the book “Adão de Jovita – Ti Dão e o seu Rabil (1926–1991)”, authored by Eutrópio Lima da Cruz.

The event, aimed at presenting the work and honoring the composer, is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. and will take place in the training room of the Art and Culture Center (CAC) in Sal Rei.

The initiative seeks to promote and “preserve the legacy” of Adão de Jovita, a native of the village of Rabil, whose artistic contribution is considered significant to the island’s cultural history.

The event and the book are intended for local residents and the general public, with particular emphasis on lovers of literature and traditional Cape Verdean music.
