Sal-Rei, May 8 (Inforpress) – Association for the Development of Agriculture and Livestock in the Northern Zone of Boa Vista (ADAPZNBV) will have available 375 million escudos for manual cleaning of 15 wells located in the villages of that region, according to an agreement signed with the City Hall.
The initiative is part of the plan to mitigate the results of the 2018/2019 agricultural year, agreed between the State and the City Hall of Boa Vista to implement measure III, with the goal of promoting public employment.
“Given the scarcity of water and grassland due to lack of rainfall, and as a consequence the difficulty that farmers and livestock farmers are experiencing, any action of this kind to benefit the population is welcome”, said president of the association, Elisabete Évora, who also said that they are working together with the delegation of the ministry that already has a report with the plan and identification of the most critical wells.
The association will have the amount divided into two tranches, the first equivalent to 60% with the signing of the agreement, and the second of 40% through the presentation and validation of the work performed as compensation to ADAPZNBV, for those works.
