Black Panthers Association takes Cabo Verdean culture to the Azores

Praia, Jul 17 (Inforpress) – The Black Panthers Youth Association will participate from August 2 to 9 in a cultural exchange in the Azores (Portugal) with the aim of raising funds for the association’s social projects.

Speaking to Inforpress, the association’s president, Alcides Amarante, said that this exchange takes place within an existing partnership with the Folkloric group of Fajã de Baixo, Ponta Delgada, Azores, which in 2018 was in Cabo Verde with a group of 40 people for an exchange.

This time, he said, there are 32 members from the association who will take Cabo Verdean culture to the Azores, share knowledge, create bonds of friendship, and raise funds to carry out social projects that guarantee the association’s sustainability.

The association, which completes its 39 years of existence, according to its president, has been betting on the implementation of projects that give some sustainability to its actions, since they do not want to depend only on the partners “goodwill”.
