Beach volleyball: Cabo Verde to qualify for Tokyo’2020 Olympic Games

Praia, Oct 24  (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean women’s and men’s beach volleyball teams will play in the qualifying round for the Tokyo’2020 Olympic Games in November, and Cabo Verde is also expected to host a phase of African subzone.

According to the Cabo Verdean Volleyball Federation, Cabo Verde has registered two female and two male couples, and it is certain that the two female are already constituted, at a time when coach Walter Lima has been preparing the work plan for the composition of the male couples.

The president of the Cabo Verdean Volleyball Federation, António Carlos Rodrigues, told the press that the group stage will be played in late November, a time that is considered sufficient for the country to be able to represent its teams in the competition.

He assured that the national federation of the sport has been making the steps to bring the zone phase to Praia.
