Praia, Sep 17 (Inforpress) – The beach soccer team debuts at the Qatar World Cup to play against Brazil on October 11, in a match against Group A, which also includes Spain and Mexico.
Two days later, October 13, the Cabo Verdean girls are back on the beach to play with Spain and finish their participation in the first phase of the competition, the following day, October 14, with Mexico.
The Qatar World Cup Group B, which will take place from October 11 to 16, will be part of the teams from Great Britain, Russia, the USA and Paraguay. The semi-finals will be played on 15 October and will put against each other the winners of both groups, with the final scheduled for October 16.
Cabo Verde is the only African representative in the competition, the result of the gold medal it won at the African Beach Games last June, in Sal island.
